The Gardenist and Travelling Masterclasses is pleased to present 'Greece 2027', meticulously curated by Michael McCoy in collaboration with Lucie Willan, one of the foremost authorities on the gardens and landscapes of Greece.
Greece has long been called the botanical paradise of Europe, and the saying that the whole of Greece is a garden can only be truly understood with a visit in spring.
Our tour of Attica and the Peloponnese is a celebration of all that is finest in the Greek landscape - hillsides and archaeological sites ablaze with bulbs, annuals and flowering shrubs. A remarkable new wave of ornamental garden-making, flourishing in recent decades, adds an exciting, and rarely-offered contemporary dimension.
We will visit a selection of the finest public and private gardens, many of which are not ordinarily open to visitors. Their range is extraordinarily diverse, but united by the challenge and inspiration of one of the world's most demanding climates.
“A wonderful experience! Michael’s enthusiasm and careful curating ensured another fabulous trip - and as always travelling in the company of other curious gardeners was a joy.”

"I have known for many years that Greece in spring is one of the world's truly unrepeatable botanical experiences. The wildflowers alone, cascading across ancient ruins and hillsides with reckless abandon, are worth the journey. But it is the remarkable new wave of garden-making that excites me most, and to be exploring it alongside Lucie, who knows these gardens and their extraordinary makers like no one else, makes this a tour I simply cannot wait to share."
Michael McCoy
“I can’t wait for this tour to begin.”
